I thought the Chainsaw remake was much better than the original. And I didn't like the Friday the 13th movies until the later ones that had a bit of humor in them. Jason Takes Manhattan = awesome. Freddy easily beats all of the other franchises icons in my opinion. The man just has personality. Jason and Micheal Myers are bricks carrying around knives and I don't remember Leatherface having any sort of really personality until that god awful sequel where they made him a cross-dresser.
