I agree with you, Jeff. I have no burning desire to see the extra footage. To my knowledge, nothing was cut out of Halloween against Carpenter’s wishes or anything. I’d have a major problem if, as the AITH article implies, they are trying to insert cut footage back into the film. But for fans, it would be interesting to see the lost footage as extras. But I’m not interested enough to buy another copy of the DVD.

As for the Halloween footage… I’m like “Who frickin’ cares?” The movie is perfect as it is, I’m not interested in some loose ends. If it was something like the recent From Beyond release, where they truly did find some cool gore footage that was initially cut for ratings reasons, and then was thought to be lost… that’s a cool treat for the fans. This Halloween stuff, though; I doubt it’s anything good.

Why no net? Guess that means I’ll have to throw in extra Terri Schiavo jokes into cast #51 since you won’t be around to stop me.
