Making her bones in Western and Adventure films of the 40′s and 50′s, De Carlo is best known to horror fans as Lily on “The Munsters”. She followed the trend of many aging actresses and swallowed up horror roles in the late 70′s and 80′s. Odds are many of you haven’t seen her without the gothic makeup and white streaks in her hair when she was young. It’s sort of like Bette Davis Syndrome: You can watch Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, but you don’t really get the impact of how damn beautiful she was when she was young. Same goes with De Carlo.
