New Horror MMO
Let me preface this by saying I just can’t get into MMOs. They just don’t hold my interest. So while the idea of a horror MMO is a neat idea, I doubt I’ll play it.
That being said G4’s The Feed has news on a new horror MMO called Requiem: Bloodymare that has been announced for early 2008. The user plays as a lab created super being whose powers come from science and the occult. They are battling monsters who have been created by abuse of science and….the occult. The game is being made by Gravity Interactive and will use the Havok engine.
Personally, I think it sounds lame. Also the name is stupid. So what do you think? Check out their website here(there’s not much there but a short trailer that doesn’t show anything) then head over to our forums and give us your opinion.

I’m with you. I know MMO’s, especially World of Warcraft, are hugely popular - but for me, playing video games is a more individual thing, I do it in my personal leisure time. MMO’s seem like a “job” to me.

Same here. I never liked the idea of having to pay every month for something I may only play 4 of 5 hours.

I will admit to being a bit of a Guild Wars addict, so maybe I will check this out. However I have sworn not to play any games until September, when my studies are finished!
And you’re right about the name - it’s too trendy to use “Requiem” these days

I remember a couple friends who flunked out of college because they were hooked on Ultima Online. The game always seemed like fun… but it seemed everyone I knew became addicted!
If they ever make a Fallout MMO, I might have to give that a whirl, though

I don’t like horror games. These are so boring.
