Indiana Garbage…

the new Indiana Jones film is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in a theatre. Imagine what would happen if you combined The Phantom Menace with the quality of Van Helsing and you might start to get an idea.

Did you know there is a scene in which Shia LaDouche swings from vines, Tarzan like, with the help of hundreds of CGI monkeys?

That doesn’t even scratch the surface of the sheer stupidity that is Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

My god

  • Thats the exact scene that someone else told me jumped the shark for them. Wow, ladouche and George Lucas sure know how to kill a franchise.

  • They waited too long to make this movie.

As much as I love the franchise, I won’t see this till the DVD release

  • you know what jumped the shark for me? Indy surviving a nuclear bomb test inside a refrigerator in the first 15 minutes of the movie.

you’ve got to be KIDDING me

  • I learned my lesson with the last Star Wars films….But then I think, maybe this will be different, maybe this will be better.
Thanks Mat, you just saved me $8.

  • sounds like a movie where i’ll have to sneak booze into the theater.

  • it will be up on watch-movies.net in no time.

and i didn’t hate any of the new star wars films. they were nowhere near as great as the originals but i didn’t hate any of them. i’m in a vast minority.

  • Except for the gayness of the tarzan bit, and the CGI gophers, I really enjoyed this.

  • I’m sure a lot of people will enjoy it.

It’s how people like Michael Bay continue to get work :)

  • Man I thought maT was just hating on this film till I saw it. Then I realized that he was being nice. Everytime you think it cant get worse it does. I started waiting for E.T. to cameo at the end. What a piece of garbage

  • thank the gods that it wasn’t just me that felt kicked in the groin while watching this sorry excuse for a movie

  • That scene was no worse then the raft scene or mine cart scene in Temple of Doom. It was definitely better than that movie.

  • Here’s some funny from The Hater at The Onion’s AV Club:

    I hope that link works.

  • The mine cart scene was a million times more awesome than anything in Crystal Skull.

  • OK, I went to see this on Monday (booze-free!) and actually enjoyed it. I would by no means call it a good movie but I was fully entertained. Of course, I’m interested by paranormal phenomena and alternate dimensions and had already heard of a lot of what they talked about (crystal skulls, Nazca lines, etc.). So, yeah. I liked it.
