I’m currently obsessed with AMC’s Mad Men. It’s a damn shame that the country isn’t watching this show. It takes place in the early 60’s and dramatizes the patriotic, sexist, racist high powered world of advertising. It’s a very slow, complex character piece with little to no action…which is probably why nobody watches it.  Still, if I’ve peaked your interest, Netflix the first season and give it a try. It’s the type of show that you have to devote five or six episodes, at least, in order to really start getting it, but once it has you, it won’t let you go. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend diving into the second season (which is on right now) because you won’t have the faintest clue as to what is going on unless you’ve seen the first. Good stuff though, check it out.

I’m currently participating in a Fantasy Football league put on by HorrorMovieFans.com. Somehow I got the first pick in the draft. So far, I’ve drafted: Tom Brady, Willie Parker, and Jason Witten. I was going back and forth on that Witten pick since he’s a tight end. I probably should have taken a WR or another RB but I just had a gut feeling so I went with it. Going on my gut is what led me to win Deadlantern’s fantasy championship last year (Jeff even gave me an actual trophy ) so I’m not going to question my decision.

Everybody should go check out Space Coyote’s review of Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Now that school is coming up on Monday I won’t have much time to write reviews. I’m going to open the reviews to our listeners/readers. If any of you enjoy writing movie reviews we’ll be more than happy to post them. Just e-mail me your review and I’ll get it posted. I’m sort of giving up on the Outpost Doom trailer for the time being. I thank everyone for their suggestions, but I just can’t seem to come up with anything that pleases me. And I don’t want to put something out just to do so. So for now, it’s being shelved. Sorry everybody. We’ll release something closer to when the final product is ready. Working on this teaser is just taking time away from what should be my main purpose: getting the movie itself done They say patience is a virtue, right?
