I’m on a quick lunch break for what is going to be an annoyingly long evening of doing USA Today surveys, but the rumors are flying that Barack is going to announce his VP tonight. Here’s hoping that he selects Senator Joe Biden. I cannot wait to see Biden completely dismantle Mittsy Romney in the debate this fall!
So come on, Barack. Please select poor old Joe Biden. I’ve signed up for the VP text message announcement, so you better give me some good news as I talk with those old Republicans for USA Today!

Obama and Biden combine to make the most egomaniacal ticket of my lifetime. It seems like a reach, just to have someone with foreign policy credibility as the VP candidate, as Biden has a very limited appeal otherwise.
Two interesting things, that seemingly conflict with Obama’s platform:
1. Change: Biden is every bit the Washington insider that Obama’s campaign has been slamming McCain for being.
2. The War: Biden voted for the war and was an advocate of having more troops in Iraq all along.
I seem to recall Biden making remarks that he did not feel Obama was ready to be president during the primaries.

Obama has said from the very beginning that he wants someone who will disagree with him and not be a “Yes Man”. So this pick fits perfectly with what Obama has said he wanted from the beginning.
As for change, maybe Dick Cheney has warped your understanding of the Vice President’s role, but VP’s don’t create policy. McCain would, Biden wouldn’t. It’s pretty simple. However feel free to parrot Rush Limbaugh talking points all you’d like
