Scarecrow movies…

I got a VHS copy of Night of the Scarecrows in the mail today. Yes I bought it, No I’m not ashamed of that fact. I just like scarecrows for some reason. Unfortunately most scarecrow movies blow, but that doesn’t seem to stop me from seeking them out, even if I’m scarred afterwards.
I think a scarecrow themed Splattercast would be cool. I’m planning it right now. Feel free to post your favorite scarecrow horror flicks you’d like to see reviewed on an upcoming show.

My all time favorite scarecrow movie is Scarecrows - just picked it up on dvd a few months ago. Here’s the short version: bank robbers escaping on stolen plane. One steals all the $ and parachutes into an abandoned farm, other robbers pursue. Farm is inhabited by former owners, now animated scarecrows who need characters’ body parts to rebuild themselves. Characters are chopped up, stuffed w/ straw, and reanimated - a little cheesy, but fun!

Although, I did read that a DVD release is in the works.
