Splattercast #130
Splattercast #130 has been posted.
We spend some time on the new Star Trek film, Jeff has a quick review of British psycho family flick Mum and Dad, and the gang suffers through some middling Xbox Live shorts that were billed as “Horror meets Comedy.” Unfortunately there’s very little of either on display in these shorts.
We have a listener request to take a look at Pasolini’s Salo. I failed to mention it on the Splattercast, but I should point out that Desmond from Dread Media recently co-reviewed the movie with Vaughn from Motion Picture Massacre (see Dread Media #82). This certainly doesn’t preclude us from looking at Salo; it’s inevitable that we’ll often overlap topics with other podcasters. I just wanted to give a shout-out to Desmond & Vaughn’s review.

I reviewed “Mum & Dad” a couple months ago over on my Myspace blog. I thought it was pretty damn bad. Can’t wait to see what you had to say about Jeff!

otherwise great show as usually
Jeff said:
I like Donnie Darko… it’s just one of those things where the cult following seems a bit disproportionate.
