G.I. Joe movie figures revealed
July 17th, 2009 by Jeff
YoJoe.com has a complete list with photos of the new G.I. Joe movie figures.
They look okay, I suppose. At least they’re in the same classic 3.75″ scale. They’re suffering from that “Transformers effect” where the classic designs are scrapped for a more modern/realistic take that’s just barely evocative of the original look.
I’m still holding out hope that this movie won’t blow chunks. We’ll find out in a few weeks!

Jeff, it will blow chunks the likes of which God has never seen. But it may be a fun drunk movie. At least there’s that.

man i miss the neon 80′s colors this is gonna suck mo balls and mo ass on an epic scale. why can we not just leave well enough alone in this society?
Or at least when we touch on the things in our life that made up the majority of our childhood we do it right and don’t taint those dreams.
Its like when you find out Santa clause is your parents you feel robbed a bit then you go to therapy and find out that your granddad touched your ruby red star fruit.
It just steals your innocents.

One major thing that irritates me about the recent year issues of GI Joe figures is the body proportions are off. I’m not normally a stickler for such details, but remember when our older GI Joe figures had heads that DIDN’T look like they were squeezed between industrial vises?
As for the movie itself, I’ll be using it as a launchpad for my own podcast in August. I’ll say this; I am HOPING it’s at least more enjoyable than “Transformers 2″.
