A blast from the past
Many years ago we did a 64 film horror tournament. It was really well received but for some reason we never did a followup. I was cleaning up some of my old bookmarks when I came across the link for the tournament itself. Some of you have expressed interest in the past in seeing the results, so here you go.
Looking back at it now, there’s so much I’d change about the selections. At the time, the thinking was to just pick the most popular films and square them off against each other. So in that respect, it’s interesting to view it in that light. Every matchup has “game details” that show the percentage of the vote each film got versus its respective opponent.
Maybe it’s time to revisit something like this again. Maybe expand the field?

Interesting. I think I’ve definitely grown as a genre fan since we did that tourney and would probably choose different films as well. That said, I don’t think I see anything on there that I feel just blatantly doesn’t belong.
