The gang gives you the scoop on some changes that are coming to the Splattercast, and then slip into some women’s clothing to take a brief look at the work of filmmaker Ed Wood.

  • I have a sweater just like that one.

  • Shame about Andrew Koening, funny thing is he’s also famous for being in a Batman fanfilm:

And yes that has a IMDB page too:

  • I love Tim Burtons ED WOOD-Movie!
I even think that´s it is one of his best Movies!!!

And the way Johnny Depp portrays Ed Wood – you just have to love that Guy!

  • I was reading about that chimp attack the other day… Never look at that chicks face. It is the most horrifying thing i have ever seen.

Crap, now people will go and look it up.

  • I’m really looking forward to Explody Jo’s weekly X-Files segments! I loved that show so much so its nice to see it still discussed.

  • Heard about the chimp attack on another podcast, who played the 911 call – horrifying. I want to see the girl’s face as much as Mat wants to see 2 Girls 1 Cup.

@Lauren – thanks for the enthusiasm about the podcast :) can’t wait for it to go live!

  • Some ‘real-life’ magazine at work had that woman’s face on the front cover, several customers complained about it so now my boss has wrote a very angry letter to the publication.

  • The chimp attack is old news, and 2G1C is even older. How long does it take for information to get overseas and to the middle of the country?

  • We’re a little behind, Wave. For example, I just finished downloading this Chocolate Rain video on my 28.8K modem. Can’t wait to see what all the fuss is about!

  • I heard about the chimp attack a long time ago i just stumpled upon the 911 call and then i read up on it a bit.

  • We sound like a bunch of hipsters squabbling about an underground band.

“You poser, I was into Chimp Attack 911 Call way before you ever heard of them!”

    :D

  • If I’m not mistaken, this was the inspiration for the original Mighty Joe Young. They just changed it from a chimp to an ape so they wouldn’t have to buy the rights of the story from the victim.

Seriously, do you get the feeling this might be the beginning of a new Slasher icon? Horribly disfigured and mentally damaged by a chimp attack, Ripface, begins stalking the Haddonfield Public Zoo looking to get revenge on the primates. The only hope of ending the terror is, Boxo, an exceptionally smart chimp that knows sign language and loves to watch Murder She Wrote. CHIMPMARE…coming this summer to a theater near you.

  • Chimp Attack 911 would be an awesome band name.

  • The Angry Video Game Nerd’s side channel “Cinemasacre” did a really good video about Ed Wood and his films. Here’s the links.

  • @Prof.Bleak – I bet they’ll make that and then the sequel will be based on that news report about the little kid who killed all those animals by throwing them into the lions den.

  • @Borp – if not a good band name, at least a good song title! I don’t think the name would fare well here in the US and they’d have to change it to Chimp Attack Nine One One (CANOO)

  • Thanks for this information. I’ll contact the company to review their product.
