I would say Psycho is the great movie that spawned a bad franchise.
I would disagree with you there, Brian. While not on par with the original, and what could be, I find the 2nd and 3rd films to be quite good.

I haven’t seen Psycho 2 but I’ve heard from multiple people that it’s pretty okay.
2 is not the worst thing on the planet but falls really really short of the original. 3 & 4 are horrible. I don’t care what anyone says they are just bad.
