Went to Rocket Fizz tonight and grabbed a bunch of Root Beer. From left to right: Rat Bastard, Judge Wapner’s, Waialua’s, Henry Weinhard’s, and Triple XXX. Flukeman is going to watch me drink them. My goal now is to try every Root Beer at Rocket Fizz. Mini-reviews shall be forthcoming.

If you’ve ever listened to the Splattercast, then you’ve heard me sing the praises of Turner Classic Movies. It’s the best station on television and well worth the price of cable just by itself.
Anyways, we’ve been talking about a lot of classic films for Noirvember, and two of the films we’ve talked about, The Public Enemy and I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang, are going to be on TCM tonight, along with another famous pre-code gangster film that we mentioned briefly, Little Caesar. Kiss Me Deadly, which is one of the most famous film noirs was actually on this morning, which is why you should always be checking the TCM schedule.
And if you like horror, be sure to check the schedule tomorrow as a plethora of Karloff/Lewton horror flicks like The Body Snatcher, Isle of the Dead, and Bedlam are screening (all amazing films, by the way). You might as well program the Clark Gable/Jean Harlow pre-code flick Red Dust in there as well. And 12 Angry Men. And Shane, starring noir favorite Alan Ladd in a western. All screening tomorrow. Like I said, a channel worth the price of cable. Take advantage of it.
And while you’re at it, be sure to record the Moguls and Movie Stars, A History of Hollywood 7 part special. A new episode of that premieres tonight and it’s spectacular.

We return to our X-Files podcast with the season 2 opener, Little Green Men.
You might recognise the sultry tones of Shawn from The Blackfoot Lounge in our new promo. Many thanks to him for that.

And for those of you who don’t want to sift through the past blog posts, I’ve gone ahead and posted all of the Women of Horror photos in a handy gallery. You’re welcome.
