Thora Birch month (finally!) concludes with a look at Dark Corners. Will Ms. Birch turn things around after the previous 3 weeks of suckitude? Mat also has reviews of Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and The Theater Bizarre.
Our local college theater, The Ross, is hosting the US theatrical premiere screening of SLEEPAWAY CAMP IV: THE SURVIVOR. Since a few of us will be attending I figure this is as good a time as any to bring back a full blown Franchise Episode of the Splattercast. I don’t know if we’ve done one of these since SAW-A-THON but they always seem to be quite popular with listeners so we might as well give the SLEEPAWAY CAMP series a go.
We’ll be doing this one on July 2nd after we’ve had a chance to see the recut-remix of SCIV. E-mail us any thoughts you have on the series to Splattercast@DeadLantern.com or leave us a question to answer on our formspring.
Prometheus, Castle of Blood, and Deadline.
This is our season 3 finale show, featuring the long-awaited interview with Cigarette Smoking Man himself, William B Davis! Tune in and stick around after the episode discussion to hear Mr Davis talk about X-Files, Dolph Lundgren and waterskiing. He was very gracious with his time, and an absolute pleasure to talk to! There is also a short bonus segment after the interview, where I revisit my debilitating fear of spiders.
This podcast features Phil from The Colonel Mustard, who lends us his knowledge of Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov – check out Phil’s podcast on this Russian epic: http://brotherskandfriends.podomatic.com/
Finally, please check out Mr Davis’ memoirs, Where There’s Smoke: Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man. Available on Amazon and at http://williambdavis.com/
