Just discovered the sad news that John Neville passed away on Saturday, aged 86. He was a fine actor and a gentleman, and will be missed. Rest in peace, Well-Manicured Man.

Good times had with zombies

This past weekend was spent catching up and having a great time with friends, including new additions to the eXplodey Files crew. Joining me on the zombie walk this year were Chris, Becky, and new blood Gemma, who also participated in a very special Halloween episode of the podcast the night before. We rounded off the weekend with a Halloween party, and hogged Rock Band all night.

seX-plodey Files #5: Bambi Berenbaum

Episode: War of the Coprophages (season 3)

During this episode, Mulder fawns over beautiful entomologist Dr Bambi Berenbaum. He endearingly professes his ‘interest’ in insects (although he secretly hates them) to impress her. Unfortunately for Mulder, but fortunately for a jealous Scully, Bambi falls for Dr Ivanov, who shares with her a fascination for robots, science fiction, and insects. Much to Scully’s delight, Mulder just can’t compete with that. Dr Berenbaum is somehow able to pull off the shirt-tucked-into-tiny-shorts look, and is even able to get you hot under the collar by describing insect genitalia, despite the fact that “her name is ‘Bambi’!”
