The Ass Goblins of Auschwitz

The Ass Goblins of AuschwitzIndependent author Cameron Pierce sent along some information about his new book, The Ass Goblins of Auschwitz. With a title like that, how can you go wrong? Here’s the press release info…

It’s Monty Python meets Nazi exploitation in a surreal nightmare as can only be imagined by Bizarro author Cameron Pierce.

In a land where black snow falls in the shape of swastikas, there exists a nightmarish prison camp known as Auschwitz. It is run by a fascist, flatulent race of aliens called the Ass Goblins, who travel in apple-shaped spaceships to abduct children from the neighboring world of Kidland. Prisoners 999 and 1001 are conjoined twin brothers forced to endure the sadistic tortures of these ass-shaped monsters. To survive, they must eat kid skin and work all day constructing bicycles and sex dolls out of dead children.

While the Ass Goblins become drunk on cider made from fermented children, the twins plot their escape. But it won’t be easy. They must overcome toilet toads, cockrats, ass dolls, and the surgical experiments that are slowly mutating them into goblin-child hybrids.

Forget everything you know about Auschwitz…you’re about to be Shit Slaughtered.

Praise for The Ass Goblins of Auschwitz:

“Who needs Ass Goblins when you have Jon Voight?”
- Jeremy Robert Johnson, Pushcart-nominated author of Angel Dust Apocalypse

“Truly disgusting! A fascinating mix of William Burroughs, David Cronenberg, and Lenny Bruce if you were to take all three and drop them into a blender. Cameron Pierce is a writer with a truly warped imagination.”
– Keith J. Crocker, director of Blitzkrieg: Escape From Stalag 69 and The Bloody Ape

“A must read.”
- The Horror Fiction Review

NOTLD: Reanimated Teaser Poster

NOTLD: Reanimated Teaser PosterA little bit of new info on the NOTLD: Reanimated project.

Wild Eye Releasing is pleased to announce the release of the first TEASER POSTER art for the upcoming video art gallery experience Night of the Living Dead: REANIMATED in anticipation of the project’s official DVD release in winter 2009.

Organizer/Curator of the project, Mike Schneider, designed the poster as a small glimpse into the dozens of styles on display in the project, which features over 100 artists from around the world. Working from the same source, George Romeros’ original Night of the Living Dead, each artist has taken scenes and ‘reanimated’ them through processes ranging from CGI to puppetry and oil paintings to tattoos. This creates a new viewing experience of a timeless classic.

Ruckus Productions

ruckus_caskFor our readers who happen to be in Maryland, you can check out a TV show from Ruckus Productions on Comcast Channel 19 in Carroll County, MD at 2:00am every day in May. Ruckus Productions’ short films have been featured on ChillerTV and the BBC in recent years.

Founder Charlie Ruckus provided me with a DVD compiling a few of their films. I especially liked the rough cut of Cask, a modern-day take on Edgar Allan Poe’s The Cask of Amontillado.

Those of us who can’t catch their TV show can poke around their website to check out what Ruckus is up to. I wish you all the best on your projects, Charlie!

Slime City Massacre news

Slime City MassacrePress release info from slimeguy.com. Gregory Lamberson was on a recent episode of Dread Media (#85) and he sounded like a fun guy with a lot of enthusiasm for this new Slime City project.

April 28th, 2009 – Actor Lee Perkins has joined the cast of SLIME CITY MASSACRE, Gregory Lamberson’s sequel to his 1988 cult midnight film SLIME CITY, which shoots in Buffalo this July.  Perkins first came to the attention of horror film fans for his role as a paternal serial killer in KatieBird*Certifiable Crazy Person and recently completed roles in PSYCHOSOMATIKA and DAHMER VS. GACY.

In SLIME CITY MASSACRE, Perkins will play one of four squatters trying to survive in New York City after a terrorist attack brings down the financial system.  The squatters discover a supply of strange wine in the ruins of a soup kitchen which turns them into hideous slime creatures driven to murderous acts.  The other squatters are played by Debbie Rochon, acclaimed horror author Kealan Patrick Burke, and newcomer Jennifer Bihl.  Robert Sabin and Mary Bogle return from the original film, Brooke Lewis appears in several flashbacks, and filmmaker Roy (STREET TRASH) Frumkes has a role as a greedy developer.

“I met Lee at a horror film festival in Florida a few years ago,” says Lamberson.  “I was screening SLIME CITY and he was screening KatieBird.  We stayed in touch over the years, and he and Kealan were going to co-star in another project of mine that fell through. I’m thrilled to have such a top notch cast.”

“Man, I feel lucky,” adds Perkins.  “Lucky that I met Greg years ago and that I stayed in touch.  I’m a big fan of writer/directors because they create such deep complex characters.  SCM will not be your typical horror flick.”

Lamberson is the screenwriter and director of SLIME CITY MASSACRE, which is being produced by Marc Makowski, who co-produced the original; horror writer John Maclay; Tommy Sweeney, who starred in Lamberson’s UNDYING LOVE, and actress Lewis.
