Excellent game!

Well, Florida State went down to Oklahoma tonight, 23-13 (I predicted 27-17 Sooners, so I was pretty spot on).  Helluva hard hitting game and the Noles played way better than they did against the Sooners last year. In the end, too many of our top players got hurt, a lot of dumb mistakes (stop holding) and we had to play nearly the entire second half with a Redshirt Freshman backup quarterback who weighs 190 pounds. They made a game of it, though, and didn’t get embarrassed or blown out by the #1 team in the country.  They put on a good show and I think earned a lot of respect tonight. Very proud.

I have a feeling that FSU will lose next week in Death Valley. The sting of coming so close and losing will probably linger against a Clemson team that looks crazy good. And who knows if EJ Manuel will be able to play. As I’ve said over and over “One year away”. Next year we’ll be playing for the title. This game only reinforces that belief!

And now, back to your regularly scheduled horror stuff :)

Officially in FSU-Oklahoma mode

I am now off work and officially in Big Game Football Mode, getting ready for #1 Oklahoma to take on my #5 ranked Seminoles in Tallahassee. Tomorrow night, I’ll be a wreck (my prediction: 27-17 Oklahoma), but for now, I’m a total excited fanboy.

Stick that flaming spear right up Oklahoma’s ass, Chief Osceola!
