This is kind of messed up. A new Star Wars toy that lets you move shit around with your brainwaves. Think twice before you give this to your kid, especially if you’ve let him watch Scanners.
Utilizing advanced dry neural sensor technology, the Star Wars: The Force Trainer headset reads and interprets your brainwaves. As you concentrate, beta waves are generated. This information is translated in the headset into a digital signal and sent to the training tower, causing the training remote to rise and fall. The more you concentrate, the more you control the remote sphere. Advance through 15 levels of training, from Padawan to Jedi Master. With exclusive Star Wars sound effects, this headset will prove that the Force is with you!

The last Punisher flick put a big smile on my face back when it came out last year. It hits DVD this week and I’m planning to buy a copy. In light of the sucky news about Deadpool’s portrayal in the upcoming Wolverine movie, I appreciate this comic-accurate portrayal of Frank Castle all the more.
Roger Ebert said of Punisher: War Zone…
You used to be able to depend on a bad film being poorly made. No longer. “The Punisher: War Zone” is one of the best-made bad movies I’ve seen. It looks great, it hurtles through its paces and is well-acted. The soundtrack is like elevator music if the elevator were in a death plunge. The special effects are state of the art. Its only flaw is that it’s disgusting. (link)
Now, technically, that’s a “thumbs down” review but Ebert can eat a dick. The things he’s saying all sound like positives to me! This movie was a faithful take on the character and I was thrilled to see it. No, it’s not perfect. Yes, maybe I love it all the more because I feel a need to defend it. At any rate, it’s a just a lot of fun.

So, any of you dudes or dudettes crazy enough to go out shopping on “Black Friday?” Personally, I was getting myself kind of psyched up to go get a deal on an Xbox 360 but then I bought one from eBay so I think I’ll just sleep late instead. Plus, the exclusive Pussycat Dolls Xbox Bundle is only available in the Australasian markets, so it’s not like I was going to score that awesome package here in Lincoln, NE.
I still need to pick up Left 4 Dead so I can play with all the cool kids, and I do have a Best Buy gift card so I may bicycle down there in the afternoon. Maybe while the Husker game is going on, to avoid the worst of the crowds.
If you want a roundup of the best video game deals for tomorrow, be sure to check out Cheap Ass Gamer’s Black Friday list.

The makeup could be better, the girls could be hotter, the sets could be made of less cardboard …but just like any corpse, if there’s a hole, then you can fuck it.

Are you guys familiar with woot? It’s a neat shopping site that sells one different item per day at a bargain price. They have a sub-site called shirt.woot that’s the same concept, but with t-shirts. The price is always $10.00 and shipping is included, so that’s not too shabby compared to other joints selling t-shirts. Obviously, the catch is that a given design is only available for one day.
Today’s shirt is a cute, pixelized take on Thriller…
