Women in Horror Month – Splattercast Listeners

We’re spotlighting female listeners of the Splattercast to celebrate Women in Horror month.
Lauren here, aka MidnightSiren182 on the forums. I liked Explody Jo’s idea of listeners and didn’t want her to be like the only one to do this.
Being a lover of both good horror and so bad it’s good horror, I’ve seen a fair share good shit and shit to avoid. To me, Bruce Campbell is the Alpha and Omega and meeting him was the Best Day Ever.
I maintain original Halloween is probably the best horror film ever and when not at banal day job staff at the largest anime con on the East Coast.
Thanks, MidnightSiren!
Listeners, send a picture and a little about yourself to splattercast@deadlantern.com

Women of Horror #102: Kathryn Bigelow

Celebrating Women in Horror month, Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to win Best Director from the DGA for her latest flick, The Hurt Locker.

Bigelow is famous in horror circles for directing and co-writing Near Dark. But I recommend the grossly underrated Blue Steel, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Ron Silver.

Women in Horror Month – Splattercast Listeners

February is Women in Horror Month, and lots of horror blogs are doing something special. We thought we’d spotlight female listeners of the Splattercast. Send a picture and a little about yourself to splattercast@deadlantern.com

I’ll kick things off with a picture of myself drunk at a festival last summer:

Women of Horror #101: Irene Ware

A couple flicks: Chandu the Magician (1932) and The Raven (1935)
