Splattercast #416

Splattercast #416 is up. We go pretty deep on the Charlie Hebdo thing, and also slosh around in a barrel with Kim Jong Un.

I find the Charlie thing, and the larger context, to be fascinating and perhaps representative of what may be The Issue of Our Time. This next link is to a conservative website, so please don’t associate it with my co-hosts who are all pinko commies would likely take some issue with it, but I found a lot of food for thought here.

Wild times, to say the least.

Splattercast #408

Splattercast #408 is up and it’s dead sexy.

Noirvember Roundup

We’re just about to kick off Noirvember 2014 and I got to thinking, the Noirvember episodes have got to be among the more worthwhile in the history of the Splattercast. If you weren’t following the show back when we started the theme month, you might go check out these older episodes – or, at least (better yet?), check out the films that we discussed.

Noirvember 2010

Splattercast #201
Week 1 of Noirvember: M, I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang, The Black Cat, Murders in the Rue Morgue, and The Public Enemy. The first week of Noirvember kicks off with a bang! This week, we discuss the cultural influences of noir and look at a group of films that are antecedents of noir and which influenced the films of the 40’s and 50’s.

Splattercast #202
